Nate’s experience in the strength & conditioning component of his swimming training, his life-long interest in fitness, and inherent regard to help people around him were major driving forces in his motivation to become a strength & conditioning professional.

Outside of Tiger Coaching, Nate has four-years of coaching experience as an Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach at his alma mater, Lincoln Southeast High School. Nate values having been able to assist one of his most influential mentors, the late Sandra Babcock (previous Southeast HS Volunteer Coach and Special Education Department Chair), in advocating for a fully inclusive swimming & diving experience for all students. Additional related experience: Previous - EKG/Treadmill/Cardiovascular Stress Testing Technician (Bryan Health); Previous - Summer Tennis Strength & Conditioning Program Coach (Woods Tennis Center), Aquatics Director/Head Swim Coach/Personal Trainer (Firethorn Golf Club), Health Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer (Bryan LifePointe), Head Swimming Coach at Star City Shores (Lincoln Parks & Recreation).

His goal is to become a physician, combining medical training with his fitness knowledge to offer athletes and/or patients proactive ways to not only improve performance by getting healthy & staying healthy.

Abbie Leschinsky, MS, CSCS

Abbie is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through National Strength and Conditional Association (NSCA). She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health Science and Master of Science Degree in Nutrition Health Science with a specialization of Nutrition and Exercise.

Abbie has experience working with elementary to high school athletes for sports performance at Speedway Village Pointe. During her time at UNL she was a volunteer coach for the Barbell Sports Club team working with college students from various athletic backgrounds/abilities and faculty members with various experience in weight training. Abbie also has experience playing on the UNL Club Ultimate team and has recently worked with ultimate athletes on increasing speed, agility, rotational power, and other skills pertinent to their sport.

Abbie has competed at the national and international level as a part of the USA Powerlifting association.  She has placed in the top four at every national meet she has competed in and was first-place in her weight class at the North American Powerlifting Championship.  Her consistent hard work and experience in the sport of Powerlifting was a key inspiration in becoming a strength and conditioning coach.  Her greatest motive as a coach is guiding athletes and clients to achieve their fitness goals and aspirations - no matter if that means back squatting 400lbs or getting stronger to perform activities of daily living like getting up and down stairs at home with more ease.

Abbie’s future endeavors include obtaining an USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach Certificate (Olympic weightlifting).  This certification would give her even more tools to train strength athletes and offer athletes from all sports additional methods to produce power/explosiveness.  It is Abbie’s goal to eventually build a weightlifting gym that she would own and operate.  The gym will primarily be focused on strength sports (Powerlifting, Strongman, Olympic weightlifting) but will also provide programming for sports performance training to all types of athletes/teams. Ultimately the gym would serve as a home base for strength sports teams talented enough to compete at the national level - something Abbie understands requires a culture of teamwork, accountability, and leadership.
